London newcomers Vieira and The Silvers take their classic rock and proto-punk heroes by the hand and tastefully subvert expectations. Nostalgic sensibilities, contrasted by flashes of dynamic art-rock, indie, soul and disco, set the sextet apart from mere revivalism. Songs often tangled in existential angst or rat-race disillusionment, coupled with frontman Diogo Vieira da Silva’s zany performance, make for a theatrical act. Guitars by Ben Curling and Ethan Faith, tenor saxophone by Cormac Coyle, bass by Reece Dean, drums by Lennon Donaldson. Began in Norwich UK in 2022, relocated to London in 2024. Supported New Candys, Magic Shoppe, Full Flower Moon Band. Appeared at Left of the Dial (Rotterdam), Red Rooster Festival (UK).
