Jubilee tour of the Valaam Monastery Choir dedicated to its 20th anniversary. On August 19, 2005, on Valaam Island, after 50 years of desolation and 15 years of restoration, the upper church of the Transfiguration Cathedral was consecrated. The Divine Liturgy was led by Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow. Professional musicians from St. Petersburg joined the choir by blessing of Hegumen Pankraty.
