"NORTHEAST" — the buzzworthy performance in Belgrade is heading to Subotica

Premiere in Russian at the Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre in Subotica

The play "Northeast" is based on the play by German playwright Thorsten Buchshtainer, "Nord-Ost."

One autumn evening, an ordinary Moscow performance turns into a nightmare. The hostage-taking at the Dubrovka Theatre Center is a real event that has become a symbol of pain, despair, and helplessness in the face of terror.

On stage — three women. Each has her own truth, her own pain, her own story:

⚫️ Chechen terrorist, who came to die and kill for faith and revenge — performed by Kristina Holostova;
⚫️ Doctor risking her life saving others — performed by Milena Yakshich;
⚫️ Ordinary woman, mother, an accidental witness to tragedy, desperately trying to understand and capture the unexplainable — performed by Daniela Stoyanovic.

The "Northeast" performance is not just a reconstruction of one of the most terrifying terrorist attacks of the early 21st century.

It is a testimony performance.
A conversation performance.
A question performance, to which each viewer has their own answer.
