Description
One of the great success stories of the 80s, Barrington Levy arrived on the dancehall scene and remodelled it in his own image. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he formed the Mighty Multitude with his cousin Everton Dacres, releasing their first single 'My Black Girl' in 1977. Levy's debut solo single followed the next year. He met producer Junjo Lawes and producer Hyman 'Jah Life' Wright, recording hits like 'Ah Yah We Deh', 'Looking My Love', 'Wedding Ring Aside' and 'Collie Weed' with the Roots Radics at King Tubby's studio. Levy helped establish a new dancehall sound and continues to tour worldwide. This event is 16+.
