About the Event
The play premiered on November 16, 2024 at Academy 28 in Belgrade and has since been frequently and actively performed throughout the region and Europe, receiving great acclaim from the audience, drawing their attention and interest in watching based on the stories of those who have already seen it.
"NOT UP TO ME, IT'S UP TO THE UNIVERSE" is a comedic monodrama based on the book "HOW BEAUTIFUL MY VECTRA IS" by Ozren Kebo. It tells the story of a man, a well-known and successful journalist who has everything - a dream job, a dream car, and a dream wife. Throughout the play, by comparing cars and women, we come to various conclusions about his character and worldview.
Viewing women as objects and cars as people, we get to know his soul. OPEL VECTRA is his sacred object, and his wife... His mortal enemy is GOLF. He supports evil, hates good, looks out only for himself. He dreams of his best friend's wife, unaware that his own marriage is at stake. Where will this lead him, and what happens when everything goes wrong and nothing goes his way? What happens when the luckiest person becomes the unluckiest?
