Sydney melodic hardcore outfit Bloom have announced they'll launch their debut album, 'Maybe In Another Life', live and in full at two intimate release shows next month in Sydney and Melbourne. Tickets on sale Friday April 26 via Destroy All Lines.
Bloom will grace Sydney's Waywards on Friday May 24, followed by Bergy Bandroom in Melbourne on Sunday May 26. Both shows will take support from Melbourne melodic hardcore outfit Saving Face, with Clearings warming crowds in Sydney and Fallweather joining the bill in Melbourne.
Bloom’s first headline shows since 'Maybe In Another Life' dropped in February via Greyscale Records & Pure Noise, the quintet are stoked to bring their creation to life live in full. "It’s been a while since we’ve headlined in Sydney & Melbourne, and we wanted to do something special to celebrate the release of the album," says vocalist Jono Hawkey.
"We’ll be performing the album front to back, with some songs being performed live for the very first time. We’re thrilled to have friends in Saving Face, Fallweather and Clearings joining us for these intimate shows. We can’t wait to celebrate Maybe In Another Life with you all!"
Told as a story in ten parts, Bloom’s debut LP 'Maybe In Another Life' examines longing, self-indulgence, fantasy, manipulation and despair through the eyes of a character that is constantly challenged by their reality. The album showcases Bloom at their heaviest and most catchiest, heralding rave reviews from across the globe, gaining hundreds of thousands of digital streams and finding airplay on triple j, community radio, BBC 1 Rock Show, Kerrang! Radio and much more.
In the last year Bloom have played a handful of new tracks on stages at Good Things Festival 2023, on an Australian and New Zealand tour with Welsh metalcore legends While She Sleeps, they supported Thornhill on the Prom Queen City tour with Holding Absence (UK) and Thousand Below (US), they crossed the ocean to tour Japan for the first time with Erra (US) and Knosis (JPN) in February and most recently supported Touché Amoré at an intimate Belgrave show in March.
