Rock legend Slade to Finland in September! The big name of British rock, Slade, is coming to Finland for a concert in September! This band, which has been active for over 50 years, can be seen at Kulttuuritalo, In Helsinki on September 22. Slade's music is still popular and many of his songs such as Far Far Away, Cum on Feel The Noize and Coz I Luv You are still playing on the radio waves around the world and even in numerous TV commercials on different channels. Slade did their first tour in Britain and elsewhere Europe 1966. The band achieved their first hit, Get Down and Get With It, in 1971, and Coz I Luv You, released the same year, was their first chart topper. Led by its founding member, guitarist Dave Hill, Slade is currently touring the world with John Berry, who joined the band in 2003. Berry is singer, bassist, guitarist and violinist. In addition, there are singer-keyboardist Russell Keefe and drummer Alex Bines. In 2023, Slade celebrated with Cum on Feel the Noize and Merry Christmas The 50th anniversary of Everybody's songs entering the charts. The group is still there in full force and its songs play at least with the same power as In the prime years of the 1960s.
