From their gothic-tinged nineties doom metal to the ethereal post-metal entity they are today, Katatonia, the great Swedish lords of sadness have always made their way as bearers of deep emotions wrapped in Nordic despair and a universal longing for salvation.

Throughout an incredible thirty-year career and eleven studio albums, the band has never shied away from evolving. They have embraced the concept of growth through rejuvenation to soothe their blackened hearts and deeply scarred souls, returning stronger than ever with “City Burials” in 2020. On their latest album, “Sky Void of Stars,” the band solemnly unfolds a dark setting that is both overwhelming and stimulating. However, at the very core of his music his essence still persists through the remarkable passage of time and space.
