Friends, hello! Exactly a week from now, on June 16, the next meeting of our film club will take place in the catacombs. We will watch the first and only Serbian full-length animated film 'Edith and I' for now. It will be presented by the director and creator - Alex Gajic, and after the film, you can ask any questions to Alex. I will be sharing a bit about this amazing phenomenon of Serbian cinema all week. To start with, I'll say the main thing: it's animation for adults. Belgrade, 2074. The main character - Edith, lives in the future Belgrade and suddenly finds herself in a serious scientific and political mess... There is another important and crucial aspect. This screening is largely inspired and made possible thanks to our friend Sergey Korneev. Sergey learned about Alex and the animated film, wrote a huge important article about the animated film and, actually, introduced me to Alex. Sergey is one of the authors of the Kuča gikov channel. I love the channel because it not only regularly covers all significant cultural and social events in Serbia but also provides incredible stories about life in modern Belgrade and its history. So that was a preview. In the coming days, the poster will be released, and I will write a few more texts on why it's so cool and why you should come to the catacombs next week.
