John McEuen’s Happy Birthday 80th! 🎂
Multiple Grammy® winner John McEuen celebrates his milestone 80th birthday where he’s most at home—on stage. For over half a century, McEuen has shaped the sound of American music as a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, inspiring generations of pickers and players.
Now, he brings that legacy to life with a lineup of friends and musical greats joining him for one unforgettable night: Mike Bub (bass), Becky Buller (fiddle), Justin David (guitar & fiddle), and more to be announced as the celebration approaches December 19—John’s actual birthday (please note: lineup subject to change).
The evening will feature Dirt Band favorites, songs from the legendary Will the Circle Be Unbroken album, and brand-new music from McEuen himself. Expect stories, surprises( such as Muriel Anderson, Bill Miller, Brandon Lee Adams and Nathan McEuen!), and rare video moments woven throughout a career-spanning performance that honors one of Americana’s true originals.
Adding a special touch, archival photos and film by William McEuen—John’s brother, longtime Dirt Band manager, and producer of Will the Circle Be Unbroken—will be featured on screen, creating a visual journey through decades of musical history.
Come celebrate the life, legacy, and enduring joy of John McEuen—an artist whose music continues to bring people together, circle unbroken.
