Description

Frau is the second feature film by Luba Mulmenko. Less than a year ago, the premiere and screening of the film Danube opened the DrugDrugu KINO program. Remember? Danube is a film about Belgrade, shot in two languages in the summer heat of 2021. Frau is filmed in Russia with Russian actors. It tells the story of a young contemporary girl named Christina, a ballerina, who starts dating Vanya, a salesman from 'Fisherman and Hunter', who is so passionate about the past that he calls all girls by the old-fashioned word frau. His apartment is a typical 'grandma's' flat, and all this retro is not quite to Christina's liking. Christina is played by the familiar - even personally! - to the audience of DrugDrugu KINO Lisa Yankovskaya, who played the lead role in the film Nika. After the screening -- Q&A with director Luba Mulmenko about filming in Russia and Serbia, life in Belgrade, and the differences between people in different countries or living in the same city. It seems that the theme of relationships between people who often have nothing in common is one of the important topics for Luba.
