The exhibition marks 150 years since the birth of Ernest Bošnjak, a pioneer of Yugoslav cinematography. Ernest Bošnjak was born in Sombor on January 1, 1876, and was the first Yugoslav cameraman, director, and producer. He studied the printing trade in his hometown of Sombor and worked as a printer in Budapest, Pest, Szegedin, and Sombathely. He returned to his hometown in 1906 and founded his own printing house and engraving studio there. In 1906, Bošnjak brought a film projector to Sombor and opened a cinema. In 1909, he shot the first feature film, which depicts a game of girls in the Sombor park near the County building. For his contribution to the development of Yugoslav cinema, he received a state pension. He passed away in Sombor in 1963.
