All music lovers are invited to the game Slovarica, which will take place at the Radiionica Cultural Center on May 18 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The creators of the game are convinced: the future of music lies in a gaming format, in an open, spontaneous, and unpredictable process of creative interaction with others. Anyone can play Slovarica. There are no winners, no competition, and no strict rules.
Slovarica is a modular system in which the result depends entirely on the participants' involvement. The game board, consisting of more than 400 tiles, is filled with sounds from different languages and traditions. By exploring the map, players learn to find a common language, turn noise into music, and create musical compositions on the spot.
Before the start, the author of the game—composer and sound activist Boris Lesnoy—will tell the legend of Slovarica and introduce its basics.
