Description

After a year of electrifying shows at their monthly residency at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul in Austin, Nakia & The Never Not Now bring their powerhouse live show to New York City for the very first time — and there’s no better setting for it than Underwater Sunshine Fest.

Curated by Adam Duritz of Counting Crows and rooted in a deep love of great songwriting, Underwater Sunshine Fest is a celebration of raw talent, discovery, and musical passion. It’s a perfect match for Nakia & The Never Not Now — a band built on fiery vocals, honest storytelling, and a sound that blends Southern soul, rock, and a bit of late-night swagger.

Their Cutting Room set promises to be a highlight of the night, which also features performances from Somebody Someone, Gina Chavez, and David Wimbish & The Collection — a wildly eclectic lineup that captures the heart of what the festival is all about.
