Description

Suntou Susso is a singer, performer, and master of the kora, the 22-string West African harp that has carried Mandinka culture for centuries. Born into a Gambian Griot lineage—historians, storytellers, and peacekeepers—he guards tradition while innovating its future. His music bridges ancient rhythms, spiritual depth, and contemporary expression.

After three years of touring following his debut album, he released his award-winning second album Jaliya Silokang - The Path of a Griot. This intimate solo evening features original compositions and reimagined traditional pieces from the album, exploring heritage, unity, belonging, ecology, and ancestral dreams.
