The Mirraz is a Japanese rock band formed in 2006. Showhey notes Arctic Monkeys as his main influence for his earlier/indies albums. However, since then they have moved their style and genre into a more unique direction.
The band's name, The Mirraz (ミイラズ) comes from the Japanese word for mummy (ミイラ - Miira). This can be seen from the band's mascot, a mummy named Kinoi-kun, whose name is also derived from reading the kanji for mummy as individual kanji. Read more on
