VanWyck is Christine Oele, a Dutch-born, New Zealand-bred singer and songwriter based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her dark folk sound, warm voice and lyrical songwriting has drawn comparisons with Nathalie Merchant, Leonard Cohen and Laura Marling.
After some years in the band Nevada Drive, Oele released her début EP as VanWyck, the Tanned Legs EP (2015) to international acclaim from English, French and American blogs. She then started a new project called 'One Song a Week', writing and releasing a new song (almost) every week. Read more on
