Anita Rachvelichvili , born in 1984, is a Georgian mezzo-soprano singer.

Anita Rachvelichvili joined the Tbilissi Opera troupe in 2006, then La Scala in Milan in 2007 where she initially played secondary roles . She had her first major international success in the role of Carmen, which she played at La Scala, in 2009. She was then only 25 years old 4 . With the role of Amneris in Aida of Verdi she played at the Paris Opera or the Chorégies of Orange, it stands out as one of the greats of contemporary opera, both by his rare voice by the intensity of its interpretation.
