"Tungtvann" was a Norwegian hip-hop group with roots in "Nordland" (Norway). The group consisted of vocalist Jørgen "Jørg-1" Nordengveien from Ørnes and DJ Lars "Poppa Lars» Sand Ness from Harstad. A third member was included on the concerts and festivals, Havard "Jan Steigenberger» Jenssen from Steigenberger. "Tungtvann" was the first Norwegian group to rap on the dialect of the album.
The group released four music albums and some EPs and mixtapes. Musical inspiration for the group's east and west coast hip hop from the U.S. and the ragga / dancehall tradition of Jamaica, the latter has resulted in close cooperation with Bodo reggae band Manna.
