Crypts of Despair is a death metal band from Kaunas, Lithuania, formed in February 2009. Emerging from the Baltic underground scene, the band was founded by musicians with ties to other local extreme metal acts, including Luctus, Nahash, and Svartthron. The initial lineup featured Dovydas Auglys (vocals, guitar), Jonas Kanevičius (vocals, bass), and Simonas Krasauskas (drums).
