The Comet Is Coming is a London-based jazz-rock band who incorporate elements of jazz, electronica, funk and psychedelic rock.
The Comet Is Coming arrives, as all good comets used to do, without warning or fanfare. The band's combination of Shabaka Hutchings's short, repetitive, staccato tenor sax phrases, Dan Leavers' keyboards and swooshing electronics, and Max Hallett's powerhouse drumming creates an energetic mix of jazz, techno and dance influences, cutting throughsome hard-hitting grooves. .
