Laurens van Dijk, better known by his stagename ‘Gladde Paling’ (Dutch for ‘Slippery Eel’) is a producer and DJ from the Netherlands. The rather mysterious artist makes very short tracks with hard beats and a dose of dry humour. His music, which fall into the memecore genre, are full of samples from all kinds of sources, like viral videos, children’s games, commercials and television programs. Most of his songs last an average of one and a half minutes and have ordinary titles such as 'Dolfijn', 'Een Vliegtuig' and 'Overstroming'. Read more on
