Iván Cornejo is a singer and songwriter from Riverside, California, who specializes in regional Mexican music. He started recording music after enduring a breakup in middle school, which inspired him to do so. On August 2021, he released his debut studio album Alma Vacía, two months after his 17th birthday. The album reached a peak position of number two on the US Billboard Regional Mexican Albums chart, while its fourth single "Está Dañada" charted on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 61.
