Miro Sprague, 23, is a jazz pianist, composer/arranger and bandleader. Miro grew up in Western Massachusetts, the son of two performing musicians, but he did not begin to seriously pursue music himself until he was 13, when he heard Miles Davis’s “Kind Of Blue” for the first time. Deeply inspired, he soon began to study jazz piano, teaching himself and studying with local musician Dagen Julty, who encouraged him to write his own music along with learning jazz repetoire.
