Gruppa Hmuriy (rus. "Группа Хмурый", hmuriy — gloomy) — is an indie post-punk project founded in 2016 in Moscow, Russia. The urban rhythm, conceptual covers featuring Stalin-era skyscrapers, and poster-like lyrics combine with simple melodies and a desire for stadium sound reminiscent of Simple Minds or White Lies. Each release is a reflection of the time it was recorded, marked by metaphorical or direct declarations of a romantic hero about life, love, and experiences. Read more on
