Monuments is a progressive metal/djent band from London, UK formed in 2009. The music combines aggressive angular grooves interwoven with spacious melodic ambience that is punchy yet progressive.
Originally a side-project of John Browne (ex-Fellsilent) and Josh Travis (The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza), Monuments changed its line-up in 2010 to become an active live band, and was fronted by Neema (ex-Fellsilent). It is regarded by some to be the spiritual successor to the now defunct Fellsilent, though the original lineup has changed before/during the recording of their debut full length, Gnosis.
