Chancellor Gee (born Maya Vyacheslavovna Kotovskaya, June 24, 1979, Sverdlovsk, USSR) is a Russian singer-songwriter and founder of the band *Bregand D’Ért*. Classically trained in piano, she studied journalism and medieval history at Ural State University but left academia to pursue music, self-teaching guitar by 2000. Rising to prominence after winning a 2002 vocal competition at the *Zilantcon* festival, she began performing solo and with her band by 2005. Read more on
