Oxide & Neutrino are an English garage and grime duo from London consisting of Alex Rivers (Oxide) and Mark Osei-tutu (Neutrino). The pair are members of the So Solid Crew collective and emerged as prominent figures in the UK garage scene during the late 1990s and early 2000s. They are best known for their 2000 debut single Bound 4 da Reload (Casualty), which sampled the theme tune from the BBC medical drama Casualty, the ITV police procedural The Bill, and dialogue from the 1998 film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The single reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and became one of the defining tracks of the UK garage movement.
Oxide & Neutrino released their debut album Execute in 2001, which featured Bound 4 da Reload (Casualty) alongside other notable tracks. The song Up Middle Finger won Best Video at the 2001 MOBO Awards. Their second album 2 Stepz Ahead followed in 2002 and peaked at number 28 on the UK Albums Chart. The track Shoot 2 Kill from the album was featured on the soundtrack to the 2002 film Ali G Indahouse. The duo also contributed to production work on Lisa Maffia's debut album First Lady. After a period of reduced activity, Oxide & Neutrino returned in 2007 with the single What R U and their album 2nd Chance.
