Sammy Rae & The Friends are an 7-piece funk/jazz-rock band based in New York City, NY, USA. The band is fronted by CT-born Samantha Bowers (performing as Sammy Rae), and currently includes C-Bass Chiriboga on drums, James Quinlan on bass, Will Leet on guitar, Debbie Tjong on keys, Max Zooi on tenor saxophone and synths, and Kellon Reese on alto saxophone.
