Daryl Johns grew up in a household filled with jazz, where he not only learned to play the upright bass but also developed a deep appreciation for the genre. While attending college in New York, he began to explore other musical styles, spurred by a hand injury that limited his ability to play the upright bass. His sound today can be described as "American Bubblegum Country Jazz Fusion" — or, as he puts it, "sugar-powered anthems for the everyman. Read more on
