There are two bands named Crust. Russian extreme metal band Crust (2014 - ), and American noise rock outfit Crust (1987 - 1997). 1) Crust is a Russian extreme metal band founded in 2014 in Veliky Novgorod. They have released seven full-length albums. Their early work blended post-black metal, sludge, and doom metal. By their fourth album, "And A Dirge Become An Anthem" (2020), the band developed a unique sound characterized as black-death metal with elements of sludge and doom metal, acoustic folk melodies, and dark ambient.
