Girl Group is a pop band formed in Liverpool, consisting of five members: Lil, Mia, Thea, Maria, and Katya. Four members are originally from Oslo (Norway) while one hails from Yorkshire (UK). They met during their initial week at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and influenced by artists such as Lily Allen, Wet Leg, and Liverpool-based hyperpop artist MARiMARi, the group decided to create music together. The name Girl Group was chosen to challenge and redefine the traditional perceptions of female bands in the music industry. Read more on
